Me and My Religion (^__~)

The Arabic word "Islam" means the submission or surrender of one's will to the only true god worthy of worship "Allah" and anyone who does so is termed a "Muslim". Islam is the true religion of "Allah". I am a Muslim girl from a Muslims family.  and I grew up with the understanding and accepting of all The Messages and Messengers of Allah. My understanding of Islam comes from reading Al-Qur'an and from my family who taught me about rules in Islam. As a Muslims, ones has to be obedient and pray to Allah and believe in the Day of Judgement. Islam does not bring any harm to anyone even to non-Muslims. The true religion of Allah must be universally understandable and attainable, not confined to any people, place or time.
Islam always commands one to pray (five times a day), fasting (the month of Ramadan), to go to Hajj and pay the zakat (payments for the poor from your earnings) and  practical daily commands, the way or system of living your daily life, and since it gave you a choice, there is always at the end that it would be more beneficial for you or kinder, and so on if you follow that rule, it is up to you. Islam tells one that Allah is merciful and compassionate. Allah forgives everything except that one must never add Allah's name with another divinity. For instance, the interpretation of Jihad. For me ,Jihad has to be taken in its context with its two parts, the first part is the one that has the right to defend his own home and family, like one sees the sign that says ‘no trespassing’ on one’s land, and if someone trespasses on your land, you can exercise any kind of defense. And the second dimension of Jihad is that if a Muslim country has been attacked, then it is only the ruler that has the right to call for Jihad, i.e. the call for defending the country. If any other person does it on their own, it is not called Jihad
I am proud to be Muslims as Allah protecting us from the evilness of the world and all of people in this world are treated equally in Islam. I'm proud to be Muslims!
